Where an ark meets a little cinder
An ark is something that carries what's precious. A cinder is what's left glowing after the fire. Together they're everything we believe a handmade piece should be — something warm, that holds what matters.
Each piece begins as a soft lump of clay on our studio table. We roll, cut, sculpt and press every letter and leaf by hand, let it dry slowly, fire it, paint on layers of glaze, and fire it again until the colours melt into glass.
